Architectural Pottery Origins Museum + Terracotta Parkhas adorned modern Japanese architecture.From the end of the Taisho period to the beginning of the Showa periodThis space displays precious architectural ceramics from the past, both indoors and outdoors. We aimed to create a powerful space where the building and the artworks are integrated by fusing the concrete walls that support the giant ceramics with the delicate historical value that the ceramics possess.

軒下に作品を配置し、陶器を自然に保護。直接触れて質感・歴史を体感できます。
The pottery is placed under the eaves to protect it from the elements, allowing visitors to experience its texture and history by touching it directly.
誰もが鑑賞しやすいようスロープを設置。植栽に囲まれ、屋外で陶器の存在感をのびやかに味わえる空間です。
A slope has been installed to make it easier for everyone to view the exhibits. Surrounded by plants, the space allows visitors to enjoy the presence of the pottery outdoors in a relaxed atmosphere.
巨大な陶器作品を支えるためのコンクリート壁。陶器の時代背景とコンクリート建築の黎明期を重ね合わせた素材設計です。
The concrete wall is designed to support a large ceramic work. The material design combines the historical background of ceramics with the dawn of concrete architecture.
大正〜昭和初期の建築陶器を屋外で展示する特別なパーク。失われた建築の断片がここで息を吹き返します。
This special park exhibits architectural ceramics from the Taisho to early Showa periods outdoors. Lost architectural fragments are brought back to life here.
建物と展示作品が一体となるよう構成を最小限に。陶器の力強さが際立つ静謐な展示空間です。
The structure has been kept to a minimum so that the building and the exhibited works can be integrated into one, creating a tranquil exhibition space that highlights the strength of the ceramics.
軒下のスペースは、ちょっとした休憩スペース。落ち着いた時間を楽しめます。
The space under the eaves is a small rest area where you can enjoy a relaxing time.
一つ一つの作品は、すでに失われた建物の一部として保存されています。この空間を通じて、建築陶器が持つ歴史的な価値と物語を体感していただくことを最大のテーマとしました。
Each piece is preserved as part of a building that has already been lost. The main theme of this space is to allow visitors to experience the historical value and stories that architectural ceramics hold.
テラコッタや建築装飾の展示とともにこの時代に活躍したスクラッチタイルの変遷についても解説しています。とても貴重な展示となっています。
Along with exhibits of terracotta and architectural decorations, the exhibition also explains the evolution of scratch tiles, which were popular during this period. It is a very valuable exhibit.
外壁に装飾されている黒いテラコッタは、弊社がデザインを試行錯誤し、新たに生み出したオリジナル製品です。伝統的な素材に現代的な色と質感を加えました。(撮影すべて　日暮雄一）
